Merry Christmas!

For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us;
And the government will rest on His shoulders;
And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.

There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace,
On the throne of David and over his kingdom,
To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness
From then on and forevermore
The zeal of the LORD of hosts will accomplish this.

Isaiah 9:6-7

The Christmas season is here! Jesus is born! Every where you look there are lights, Santas, manger scenes, and Christmas trees. It’s quite odd living in a country that’s not terribly cold for Christmas. (Although, to see the people and how they dress, you would thing a blizzard was approaching!). 1 week left of school until Christmas break! Just about 9 days until my sister comes! The same day my sister arrives I’m going to a 15 year old girls birthday celebration. Here in Mexico the 15th birthday is sort of like a sweet 16, but a little bigger.

As many of you know, I was able to go to a youth retreat. (Yup, that’s right, a youth retreat. Here in Mexico, if you’re not married, you’re a youth!)That proved to be a great time and I, also was able to learn a ton of new words in Spanish. Emily, one of the mk’s, was the only other person who spoke English. Thus, everyone assumed she was my sister. Too funny!

The apartment deal is settled, finally! I am so thankful that the Lord provided for us in His timing. We now have a wonderful apartment with wonderful neighbors. Yet again, He proves Himself to be faithful! Both my roommate and I were over ridden with doubt, but as I have said, He is so amazingly faithful, in even the little things. Sometimes I forget that (although, He has given me many lessons in this).

I so praise Him for the much needed break time that is ahead. Last week I lost my voice, we moved, and I still had to teach. So glad there is a temporary break in sight!

Also, I just wanted to give a shout out to all of you who give to missions through the Lottie Moon Christmas offering! Thank you a million times! With out your giving, I along with over 5,000 other servants through out the world would not be able to do what we do. Know that you are a giant blessing to us! We thank God for you!

Praises:

Ÿ The new apartment and the opportunities to share as we live there

Ÿ Sara- who accept Christ and is now our neighbor!

Ÿ The break

Ÿ My sister coming

Prayer Requests:

Ÿ My good friend, Belinda, is trying to find a church home here in Mexico
