Summer

Summer is here! Well, actually, it’s been here about a month. It just so happens that I haven’t had much time on the internet. I was blessed to have a week off with absolutely nothing to do. After the last few weeks of school, I was wiped out. The following week, we had a group in from Alabama to do gospel saturation. We had a great week and I was even able to make some good Mexican friends. Also, that week I got recruited to teach English on Sunday mornings at First Baptist Mexico City. More recently, I have been working with the summer missionaries for the Ortegas (Jimmy and Heather from KY and Rachel from Chicago). I have had a chance to be involved in feeding the homeless every Tuesday. We are doing a sports type ministry on Thursdays and we will do a sports camp here in a few weeks! We’re also going to be doing a VBS! Oh, I also got to be a stage hand for a drama that we presented at several locations here in Mexico. Yeah, life is pretty busy right now.

Please pray for the people of Mexico City. It seems that lately I have noticed more and more of the sinful things of the city. There is a street that we often dive down in the afternoons that is lined with prostitutes. This breaks my heart into a billion pieces. Please pray for them.

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart. Be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my rock and my Redeemer.” Psalm 19:14

“Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me and know my anxious thoughts; And see if there be any hurtful way in me, And lead me in the everlasting way.” Psalm 139:23-24
